What You’ll Do

At Blount Design, every team member has a personal space to express themselves. They know how to communicate with a wide variety of clients, architects, vendors, and contractors, and enjoy working with people as much as design.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project team in the creative process to meet client directives, standards, budget and schedule

• Prepare presentations for clients as needed

• Create client budgets and budget options

• Assist with client meetings

• Complete conceptual and schematic design phases

• Create FF&E specification packages

• Create full sets of ID documents to include plans, elevations, and details

• Work with our internal procurement team to ensure the purchasing process goes smoothly

• Responsible for project management, administration, and observation

• Process shop drawings and finish material submittals

• Responsible for effective delegation to other team members

• Travel as required on a per project basis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience 

• Minimum 3-5 years of hospitality interior design experience required

• Enthusiastic, articulate and professional

• A spirit to teach and mentor less experienced designers and interns

• Ability and adaptability to handle various projects, meet deadlines and change priorities when necessary

• Strong written and verbal skills

• Solid organizational and multi-task skills

• Experience with creating project budgets and schedules

• Experience with selecting and sourcing FF&E, and working with manufacturers

• Exceptional client service

• Strong presentation skills

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office

• Familiarity with Spexx Documentation System is a bonus

• A desire for work-life balance and flexibility in schedule
